MULTIPLE DISTRICT 322 MULTIPLE AWARDS (2008 - 2009)

NAME OF AWARD

ELIGIBILITY

1. Best Projects of the District

Open to all districts.

DG should submit details for two entries permanent Project and for permanent Project and for adhoc Project

2. Outstanding Lion of the District

Open to all districts.

DG should submit Two entries per district and should include details of specific performance and outstanding achievement by those Lions.

3. Best Bulletin Contest

Open to all clubs.

One entry per district.

DG should submit two copies of the same issue of its single best Bulletin along with his recommendation.

4. Best Performance in the Quest Programme Contest

Open to all districts.

DG should include details of Teachers Training Workshops, number of schools where the programme has been implemented and number of children benefited.

5. Best Club Web Site Contest

Open to all clubs.

DG should submit a hard copy of website and include the URL on the recommendation signed by District Governor.

6. District Web Site Contest

Open to all districts.

DG should submit a hard copy of website and include the URL.

7. Best Blood Related
Activities Contest

Open to all clubs.

DG should indicate number of blood donation camps, number of units of blood collected, percentage of members donated blood and campaign carried out to mobilize people to donate.

8. Best Water project Contest

Open to all clubs.

DG should indicate number of tube wells installed, number of water coolers or water purifiers, any other activity to supply potable water arid any PR drive to urge people to conserve water.

9. Best IOL surgery Contest

Open to all clubs.

DG should indicate number of IOL surgery camps and number of IOL surgeries performed.

10. New Ideas for Service Contest

Open to all clubs.

DG should submit details of nature of service project, number of persons benefiting amount spent in service programme, extent of involvement of members with photographs of the project.

11.Literary Project Contest

Open to all clubs.

DG must submit the details of nature of project, number of schools, number of students (children or adults), total outlay on literacy project, photographs and extent of involvement of the members.

12. PR Ideas Contest

Open to all districts.

Idea must represent viable PR activities. District Governors should indicate nature of programme, number of persons whom this reached and extent of impact, total outlay in implementation and material supporting the programme.

13. Best Peace Poster

This Award will be given to Master L. Priyokumar Singh of Lions Club of Imphal whose entry has been named “The Merit Award Winner” in the 18th Annual Lions International Peace Poster Contest- “Peace without Borders”. He is invited with one parent to be honoured at multiple convention.

14. Multiple Best LEO Club Contest

Open to all LEO clubs.

DG should sbumit the recommendation in writing giving details of the activites of the LEQ Club as per requirements.

15. Best Lions Club promoting Youth Programme Contest.

Open to all clubs.

DG should submit details of club’s contribution in promoting LEO Club programme, club’s contribution in promoting, Youth Exchanges, Youth comps, Peace Poster, Lions Quest and other Youth Development Activities.

16. Highest Membership Growth Awards to Clubs of the Multiple

Open to all clubs.

DG must submit details of number of members in the club as on 1st July, number of members added, number of members dropped and stength as on 31st march

17. Best Project under Anemia Free India Programme

Open to all districts.

18. Award for Highest Contribution to CSF II Programme

Open to all districts.

DG should submit details of actual contribution sent to International office, commitment made for contribution in 3 yrs with amount of first installment paid and numbers of model clubs in the District

Note:

  1. District Governors are requested to submit the details for awards to the Council Chairperson latest by 20th March 2009, thereafter no entries shall be entertained for any awards.

  2. The performance and awards shall be judged by a panel consisting of Ruling International Director from India, Past International Directors from Multiple, Council Chairperson, Council Vice Chairperson, Council Secretary and respective Multiple District Chairpersons.

  3. Excellent District Governor/ Excellent Vice District Governor Award shall be awarded on the basis of overall performance in every field in their respective District and shall be judged by a panel consisting of Ruling International Director from India, Past International Directors from Multiple, Council Chairperson, Council Vice Chairperson, Council Secretary.
